Jasmine Di Milo's Spring 2010 Collection

Like a breath of fresh air.
While looking through the sparse number of Spring 2010 RTW collections on Style.com, I wasn't really expecting anything fantastic. That's when I came across Jasmine Di Milo's collection. This is the most diverse collection of clothing I've ever seen in my life; Leather skirts, 60s inspired dresses, floral swimwear, casual tees, spaghetti strap dresses, nude one pieces, boat neck sweaters, off the shoulder tops, a beautiful chiffon dress, matte metallic party dresses, more diverse swimwear, and so much more. Going through the collection, every time I moved to the next piece it felt like I was looking at a completely different designers garment. It's often that designers use the same visual pattern for half of their collection, and then the other half are safe solid colored pieces. This was something new and different, and all the clothes were ABSOLUTELY stunning.

Roberto Cavalli's F/W Ad Campaign

Roberto Cavalli's upcoming Fall/Winter ad campaign was shot by Steven Meisel.

Dolce & Gabbana S/S Menswear 2010

Dolce & Gabbana's spring/summer menswear collection is influenced by Secilian men. This collection features, basically everything, with jackets, trousers, slippers, shorts, suits, sweaters, beachwear, and even distressed denim pants. A major element of this collection is very elaborate embroidery. Though it was supposed to embody beauty, I thought it made the clothes look cheap (which I'm sure they are ANYTHING but). Below are some candid pictures that photographer Luca Cannonieri shot behind the scenes of the D&G show with a few of the models.

Bruce and Emma Willis' Editorial in W Magazine

Newlyweds Bruce and Emma Willis will be featured in the July issue of W magazine with an editorial shoot titled 'Honeymoon Hotel' and an interview. The shoot, which was photographed by Steven Klein, turned out to be more risque than the original idea of the product. When Bruce and Emma were brought to the location to get ready for the shoot and were talking about the concept of it with the crew, Bruce was told that he would be wearing layers upon layers of clothing while Emma would be wearing next to nothing, to which Bruce exclaimed "That's the way it should be!" But when it was really down to it and time to shoot, Bruce was told that they decided to switch it up... That his new wife would be wearing the clothing, and he would be the one stripped down. Going against the traditional vision of masculinity and power in relationships, Emma is styled in chic, seductive, and very assertive outfits, while Bruce brings a raw aspect to the shoot by posing in nothing but underwear. I think that the shoot is eye catching, very interesting, and a little odd of a shoot for a newlywed couple to be doing, but I love it.

Missoni's S/S 2009 Ad Campaign

Missoni has released their spring/summer 2009 ad campaign and it is BREATHTAKING, honestly. Contrasting most of the recently released ads in the fashion world, these advertisements are bright, playful, and warm looking. Featuring models Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Danny Schwarz, and Mat Gordon lounging in the sand looking no more realistic, nor less flawless, than mannequins. I'm really impressed with these photographs, shot by the famous Steven Meisel, and with their choice to go for a more beachy vibe.

Gwen Stefani for Elle's July 2009 Issue

Gwen Stefani has been chosen as Elle's July cover model for both the issue that will hit stands, and the subsribers issue. Dressed in an ensemble from Louis Vuitton's F/W 2009 collection for the main cover , a brand new Alexander McQueen creation for the subscribers issue and photographed by Carter Smith, she is looking fresh and chic.
